Operating instructions
1) Connect the output ends to the gel box. The red end is positive electrode (anode) and the black one is negative electrode (cathode).
2) Revolve the knob of "Adjust" anticlockwise until it stops.
3) Press the button of "Power" to switch on power supply and lighten the digital panel.
4) Choose a constant mode
constant voltage mode
Press the button of "constant T" to turn on the indicator light of "constant T".
Now the electrophoresis apparatus is working on constant voltage mode.
constant current mode
Press the button of "constant A" to turn on the indicator light of "constant A".
Now the electrophoresis apparatus is working on constant current mode.
5) Revolve the knob of "Adjust" clockwise gently until it reaches a certain value of voltage or current.
Cautions
1) DO NOT connect the electrophoresis apparatus to the gel box with the power on. Also, DO NOT pull out the output cables that connecting the apparatus to the gel box with the power on. Always Connect the electrophoresis apparatus to the gel box BEFORE turning the power supply ON.
2) Assume that you want to set the voltage value to "150V" at the constant voltage mode. If the current value becomes extremely high or even overflows the rated value (400mA) before you could adjust the voltage value to 150V, do examine whether the electrophoresis apparatus is well connected to the gel box or the electrophoresis buffers is accurately prepared.
3) When more than one gel boxes are working together, choose the constant voltage mode to reduce the interactions between boxes.
4) PULL the power cables OUT OF the power supply when changing the fuse. Specification of the new fuse should accord with that indicated in "Technical data"
